I know exactly what you were feeing because we spent the Christmas holidays in Palermo.

We took our two adult children with us to visit the birthplace of my grandmothers: Ciminna.

I was overwhelmed with emotion as we walked the same streets that they had walked.

We took pictures outside the address where my great grandmother had been born in 1865.

It was the trip of my lifetime.
